This is gonna be a platform style bike rack that holds the bike by the tires. So you got a hook that comes down here on the front tire and then we have a strap on the back one. Holds it really nicely. I can shake the bike rack, show you the bike's not moving so you know that it's gonna stay in place when you're going down the road. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Nissan Murano- Video

It holds a bike in these wheel cradles at the bottom and primarily by our tires up top. Each tire has a wheel hook that's gonna hold it down in place, and it's gonna be really secure and sturdy in the bike rack. more

Now, StageTwo is a platform style bike rack capable of holding up to two bikes. It's gonna hold them by the front tire up here, and that means zero frame contact, meaning we're good for carbon frame bikes, alternative frame bikes, and e-bikes, because it does have a 70 pound weight capacity per bike. So it's also gonna be good for some of those heavier e-bikes, because it does go bit above and beyond some of the other e-bike racks that we carry. Now with this, we do have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. more

The RidgeBack is a hanging style bike rack that holds the bike up here by the frame and down in these cradles using the ZipStrips. We've got two up top and one around the seat post here to limit our side to side movement, helping with bike to bike contact. This doesn't completely eliminate that side to side movement but it does help it quite a bit. more

The Hitching Post Pro is a hanging style bike rack holding the bike by the frame up here secured with two straps over the top keeping it down in these cradles, and the third strap are on the seat post limiting our side to side movement to help limit bike to bike contact. It's not perfect. There's still some movement, but it definitely helps. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail on our 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. The MonoRail is a platform style bike rack, holding up to two bikes and holding them by your wheel primarily, the front tire here really. Now, that's gonna mean zero frame contact, making it good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and does have a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, making it good for some e-bikes too. Like many other platform racks in this class, we have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. Doing that's pretty simple, we've got a color coded blue handle at the back that we can pull and tilt down, and we do have a pretty impressive tilt on this bike rack, giving us tons of room to open up the back of our vehicle, get something out of the back if we need it, or just have a nice place to sit and change our shoes before or after a ride. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 2-Bike Rack on our 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. The Destination is a 2-bike platform style rack that holds a bike by the frame here. It uses a cradle with a strap around the frame to hold it in place, so it is going to be good for alternative frame bikes, because that cradle does rotate 360 degrees, and it's height adjustable. Now, because it makes frame contact, we still want to avoid carbon frame bikes, because we do risk damaging the frame by making frame contact, and it has a 35 pound weight capacity per bike, so just stay within those limits and you should be just fine. This doesn't have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded, so if you want hatch access to the vehicle, whether it be to get something out of the back or just sit there while we change our shoes before or after our ride, we will have to have the bikes unloaded first with the center mast folded down. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E-Bike Rack on our 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. The Destination E-Bike Rack is a bike rack designed for e-bikes. You've got a 70 pound capacity per bike, so good for even some of those heavier e-bikes, and then it's gonna hold the bike by the frame. Because it holds the bike by the frame, we do want to avoid carbon frame bikes, because this can damage the frame, having that clamp around there and putting pressure on it, but because that clamp rotates and turns 60 degrees and can adapt to the shape of your frame, alternative frame bikes should be just fine. Other than that, we do have the ability to tilt this rack away with the bikes loaded, because it is a platform style rack, and a more premium platform style rack at that. more

So the E-spec is for those extra heavy electric bikes with that 70 pound capacity. And if you are flat towing your Nissan rogue and you need that extra movement because it has to be stable enough to work on motorhomes fifth wheels and flat foot vehicles. Now downside to the E-spec is it doesn't have the same premium features that other bike racks have like the tilt the way options. So if you wanna open up the hatch of your Nissan rogue you are gonna have to take your bike off. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Murano- Video
How's it going Ryan here etrailer.com. Today on our 2017 Nissan Murano, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro two-bike rack, which is also available in a three-bike version. Now, one thing I noticed about this rack is where it's going to sit. It's gonna keep our bike nice and high off the ground, yet it's not gonna sit up so high that it's going to block or obstruct our view out of our rear view mirror as we're going down the road. It's gonna be held in place by three straps. We're gonna have two straps here on the top tube and one right here, and that's going to help prevent any sway, and side to side movement, eliminating any bike to bike contact. more

Now right outta the gate, I think the Transfer does an excellent job of staying pretty low profile and with a pretty minimalistic design does a great job of getting some of our bikes to the trail ahead with us. You can see it has that little signature U-frame design that offers a couple key advantages over some of the other platform acts out there. The biggest one, as you can see, I can stand right in here and actually start getting right underneath our bike. more

Hollywood Racks Road Runner Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Nissan Rogue- Video
Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Road Runner 4-Bike Rack Carrier here on our 2021 Nissan Rogue. Now the Roadrunner does an excellent job of getting, yes, four bikes up to the trail head. However, I think it really starts to shine by how much sway control we are actually getting for a hanging style rack. So if you're on a lookout for a way of making sure that our bikes stay nice and pretty while still having to utilize that hanging style, I think this can be a great concession for ourselves. On the end of the bars here you are seeing, we do have those two arm supports, and on either side we are getting some nice, little reflectors on the end. more

However, it is very effective at getting our bikes to the trailhead. At a 35-pound capacity per bike, we're getting most of our standard bikes to the trails with us today. more

Now I think the E-Spec does an excellent job of getting these big, heavy ebikes up on here. With a 70 pound capacity rating for each of our bikes we definitely are gonna be doing a good job of getting these big heavy ebikes up on here with no trouble at all. The platform rack itself isn't gonna be anything too crazy. I do kinda like how it is very simple, that that steel construction is doing a very good job of giving us a lot of stability and durability for our rack. more

Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 here on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now the Sherpa is great if you are looking at a way of getting those lightweight bikes to the trails with you in a nice, effective, stylish looking carrier. You'll notice today that we do have our carbon frame bikes up on here, and the reason for that is that the Sherpa doesn't actually have any frame contact. Utilizing a tire hold ratcheting arm system, we're not gonna have any kind of frame contact, allowing us to carry these carbon frame bikes, cause we won't be warping those frames. With that tire hold too, you're probably gonna negate a lot of the issues you might run into with other kind of frame style carriers whether they be platform or hanging style. more

Hey everybody welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Road Runner Four Bike Rack Carrier here on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now hanging styles are a great way of getting a host of bikes to the trails with you. As you can see today, on a Road Runner we can fit up to four bikes on this carrier. Now, a lot of times with the hanging style though, what starts to end up happening as you get more and more bikes on here, you're gonna start seeing a lot more sway, and a lot more of your bikes making contact with each other. And that can end up, you know, starting to deteriorate a little bit of that frame, a little bit of that paint. more

Now platform style racks are gonna be a great way to really start increasing that stability that our bikes are gonna feel, and with the four bike Destination Bike Rack you are gonna get four bikes on this platform. So, a lot of times you get those big four bikes kind of carriers you're looking at hanging style. The Destination offers a great solution of giving us a nice stable platform. So things with that right out the gate we're not gonna have our bikes making a lot of contact with each other. more

Now, platform racks are gonna be a great way of giving a lot of stability for our bikes and with a lot of good contact that way it won't be rattling around causing any kind of damage. Well, HoldUp definitely does a very good job. We are gonna have a tire hold format on here. So, if you're looking a way of getting those carbon frame bikes to the trails with you, this can be a great little option as we aren't gonna have any frame contact. more

Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby. And today, we're taking a look at the RockyMounts BackStage two-bike platform rack here on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now, platform racks are gonna be a great way of getting your bikes to the trailhead with a lot of stability and a lot of cool little features that still allow us to usually get a lot of access to the back of our vehicle, and none other than the BackStage can do it better in my opinion, as you are getting a great little swing-away feature with this guy, not only, yes, can we tilt away from the back of our cargo, but we are gonna be able to swing this guy out and get full access to the back of our Murano, get into that spacious cargo hold and get anything we need, and can even turn it into a nice little hangout spot while we are actually out at the trails. The platform rack itself though, as you can see, is gonna be a nice little kind of low profile guy. Not gonna be anything too crazy going on. You'll notice all these little blue kind of measurements throughout or blue contact points throughout it, I should say. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Nissan Murano- Video
Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold 2 two-bike platform rack here on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now, right out of the gate, platform racks are gonna be a great way to really increase the stability of your carrier, and no one on earth's gonna have as good of stability as the Inno Tire Hold 2. As you can see we are getting two holds on each end of our tires. That's gonna bring this all in line with this carrier. So as this carrier moves, it's really gonna cinch it down, and that way our bike isn't gonna be moving. more
